Soft Washing first utilises a soap to loosen up dirt and grime and it’s then blasted away with pressurised water at 100 to 300PSI. Soft Washing is great on surfaces that are more delicate.
For harder surfaces that can take a higher pressure washing, we use the Water Blaster, which uses such high pressure of around 1000 to 6000PSI that it can strip paint from surfaces! Water blasting is perfect for tougher surfaces.

What’s the difference between Soft Washing & Water Blasting?
Our Soft Washing system is a versatile method for cleaning a wide variety of surfaces in the Cairns region. As the name suggests, Soft Washing uses a lower pressure which makes it extremely versatile. This makes it the perfect method for cleaning all types of surfaces.
Even though soft washing doesn’t use super high pressure, it still gives fantastic results, capable of restoring the life and lustre of surfaces back to their original state.
Soft Washing also sanitises surfaces and substantially delays the regrowth of moulds, moss and algae.
The cleaning process starts with the application of special detergents suited to the type of surface, which help loosen dirt, and debris. Then higher-pressure water of around 100 to 300PSI is applied using a special spray nozzle. This uses a minimal amount of water and prevents the surface from being damaged.
Water Blasting is a more forceful approach utilising extreme water pressure. This approach makes it perfect for removing tough stains on exterior surfaces. Because the water pressure is so high, a level of training and experience is required to ensure optimal results.
We use water blasters that produce 1000 to 6000PSI of water pressure, along with focused spray nozzles which allow the water to cut though tough stains with ease. For extremely soiled areas, high water flows close to one litre per second are used.
If not performed correctly water blasting can remove a thin layer of the surface along with the dirt and grime. With 30 years of experience handling this type of pressure, you’re in safe hands.
Unlike Soft Washing, Water Blasting is not recommended for all surfaces. As it can remove a layer of the surface, it’s extremely useful to remove paint to prepare for re-painting (and fast).
